Is Shore Wallet custodial?
No. Shore Wallet is fully non-custodial — your private keys are generated and stored on your own device. We never have access to your funds, and there's no account recovery through us, since we never hold your keys in the first place.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your funds live on the blockchain, not on your device. As long as you've backed up your seed phrase somewhere safe, you can restore your wallet on any new device. Without that seed phrase, no one — including us — can recover the funds.
Is Shore Wallet really free?
Yes. Shore Wallet itself is free to download and use. The only cost you'll ever see is the network's own gas fee for a given transaction, which goes to the blockchain's validators, not to us.
Can I verify the code myself?
Yes — Shore Wallet is open source. You can inspect, audit, or build the code yourself rather than take our word for how it handles your keys and funds.
What happens if Shore Wallet shuts down one day?
Since your keys and funds never depend on our servers, your wallet keeps working with any compatible client even if Shore Wallet the company disappeared tomorrow. Your seed phrase is what actually controls your funds, not our app.
